Laying half human-half alien in bed. Nose is acting funny and my body has slumped into a rest. I find it interesting how I am forced to take a break, being a yes-man for the last couple of months have left me somewhat exhausted.

Learn to use “no”. Some of the activities I committed to where not necessary and added to my stress levels. Others were irrelevant. I had a subconscious fear that I may have to depend on people in the future, therefore, I must support them. It is alright to not be ok. It is alright to feel under the weather or overwhelmed

No, you don’t have to take on another project. No, you can’t attend that event. And when you those words run loose off your tongue, you can say yes to me-time. Yes to taking a nap after a long day at work. Yes to spending more time with your family. Yes to attending a school play. Yes to a shopping spree or whatever rejuvenates your energy.

As I lay on this bed to take another shot at sleep. I am reminded that at the end of the day, my health is my responsibility.
